Music in the Air was a series of short musical programs distributed for broadcast over Armed Forces radio stations. These recordings were part of the extensive library of music and entertainment supplied to American military personnel stationed around the world.
The programs featured popular music in a convenient five-minute format, allowing military radio stations to incorporate musical selections into their daily schedules. The recordings were distributed on transcription discs for use by station announcers and broadcasters.
